Restaurant Landing Page
A landing page for a made-up restaurant, plus an order page with a working cart

overview
Kuch Bhi Restaurant is a static website for a fictional restaurant whose concept is 'we decide what you eat' ('kuch bhi' means 'anything' in Hindi). It has a single-page landing site and a separate order page where visitors add dishes to a cart. I built it with plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
problem
I wanted to practise building a full marketing-style site from scratch: a hero, an about section, a menu, services, a contact area and a footer. I also wanted at least one interactive piece beyond static content.
approach
- 01Built the landing page as one scrolling document with anchor navigation, and a hamburger menu that toggles on small screens.
- 02Kept the order page's products in a JavaScript array and rendered the menu cards from that data instead of hard-coding them.
- 03Wrote a small cart that tracks quantities per item and recalculates the line prices, item count and total in rupees each time something changes.
features
Landing sections
Hero with a booking call to action, an About story, featured dishes with prices, a three-step Order/Shipping/Delivered services strip, and a footer site map.
Order page with cart
Visitors add dishes, change quantities with +/- buttons, and see the running item count and total in a slide-out cart.
Responsive navigation
The nav collapses into a toggleable menu on narrow screens.
challenges
Rendering from data
Generating the menu cards and cart rows from one products array made adding a dish a one-line change. It was my first step away from copy-pasted markup.
outcome
The site is live on GitHub Pages. It was an early practice project where I got comfortable with page layout, section structure and basic DOM rendering. The cart is front-end only and doesn't have a checkout.
